Passenger Check-in

Medication and Cash

Carriage of Medicines in Hand Baggage

There are a few exceptions regarding medicines to the general conditions limiting liquids, aerosols and gels on board an aircraft in hand baggage. All medicines that are vital for a passenger during their journey can be carried without limiting the volume and quantity. However, the medicines must be reported to the security staff and we recommend to always carry a doctor’s note.

Carriage of Cash

Only a maximum of €10,000 (or the same value in another currency) can be transported in cash across borders. If you need to transfer a larger amount of cash, this must be reported to the customs authorities. If you are travelling from one EU country to another, this must be reported in both countries. Otherwise, customs officials may seize the cash you are carrying.
