Arrivals from Outside the EU

Imports of selected goods from non-EU member states are subject to quantity limits. This category includes, e.g.:

• goods imported on an ad hoc basis solely for the personal use or consumption of the recipient or of the passenger and members of their family or as a gift
• tobacco products
• alcoholic beverages
• medication

Restrictions on imports, exports or goods in transit under special regulations:

• travelling with animals and veterinary goods
• CITES (the Convention on International Trade in Endangered species of Wild Fauna and Flora)
• weapons, ammunition, explosives
• drugs
• goods of vegetable origin
• financial means

Arrivals from EU countries

Quantitative limits on imports of selected goods (exempt from excise duty) from EU countries:

• tobacco products
• alcohol and alcoholic beverages

Import restrictions apply to:

• addictive substances
• ctravelling with pet animals to the Czech Republic from other EU Member States
• CITES (the Convention on International Trade in Endangered species of Wild Fauna and Flora
